DESCRIPTION

This describes the configuration commands available for configuration of mailing lists for the clerk. For further information about configuration commands refer to the Config manpage.


SCOPING COMMAND

mailList [ name ... ]
All mailing list commands after a mailList command are for the mentioned mailing lists. I.e. this command builds a scope for mailing list commands.

Value of the unscoped command itself is an array.


ATTRIBUTES OF MAILING LISTS

lsCommand
The current mailing list carries commands.

Value is being set.

lsMenu list [cmd]
The current mailing list is a menu list for individual requests for posts to list list. This base list needs a lsArchive command. If given cmd must be a normal Perl 5 regular expression, which is used as the command the menu request is done with.

cmd defaults to Message-Id:\s*.

Value is an array.

lsHome
The current mailing list is our home mailing list.

Value is being set.

lsReport report ...
The current mailing list is used for reports named report. Multiple commands cumulate.

Value is an array.

lsRaw
The current mailing list gets all posts in raw form.

Value is being set.

lsModerated
The current mailing list gets all approved posts.

Value is being set.

lsIncoming
The current mailing list may be a source of posts.

Value is being set.

lsOutgoing addr
The outgoing address for the current list.

Value is a scalar.

lsSender addr
The sender address to be put in any mail going to the current mailing list.

Value is a scalar.

lsReply addr
The reply-to address to be put in any mail going to the current mailing list.

Value is a scalar.

lsHeader string
The header used for any mail going to the current mailing list.

Value is a scalar.

lsFooter string
The footer used for any mail going to the current mailing list.

Value is a scalar.

lsReRedir addr
All posts looking like a reply are redirected to this address.

Value is a scalar.

lsArchive archive [ plain ]
An archive of all posts going to this list is build in archive archive. Plain mail files are stored in directory plain if given. This is implemented as a mail database.

If the arguments are not absolute paths, they are prefixed by the value set by baseDir.

Value is an array with the arguments, or a scalar after error checking.


FILTERS FOR MODERATED MAILING LISTS

A mailing lists having lsModerated set, gets a certain post only if any of the lsWant filters applies or no lsWant filter is defined at all, and none of the lsStop applies.

what gives the criteria to look for in the post. For values and arguments see the description in the Filter manpage.

Multiple filter commands add up, and form a logical or.

lsWant what [ value... ]
A moderated list gets only posts, where at least one of these filters applies.

Value is an array.

lsStop what [ value... ]
A moderated list gets only posts, where none of these filters applies.

Value is an array.
